M.A. in Design Management — Capstone Projects
The capstone projects showcased below are from MA students at the Savannah College of Art and Design and exemplify the kind of design challenges Design Managers might address, taking the audience from the conception of an idea through the research phase, to prototyping of a concept and bringing the prototype to market. Design Managers work on the strategic level and need to be equally equipped in conceptual and systems thinking, conducting qualitative research, and masterful data visualization. Additionally, they need to hold expertise in the design of forms, processes, and systems, and facilitating groups through design thinking processes. Besides their expertise in creating conditions for design-driven innovation certain levels of literacy in business, management, and technology-oriented genres is also required.
